Sad that someone would defend this place (Jason), becuz the puppies are absolutely from a mill. They were scared to death, completely unsocialized and unsupervised. We walked in to see & the only person in there was a kindergarten aged girl, who was in the process of picking up a puppy by the front leg. I asked where her parents were and she said "Oh, they're eating." So I took the puppy from her. Then a teenage boy walks in & didn't care about what I told him had just happened. I noticed the puppy had a very deep scar on her paw. The boy said "Oh, maybe something got caught around her foot" and took her from me. My biggest regret is not calling animal control.
Anyway, we actually took my 2 year old here. He loved the tractor rides, feeding the parakeets, and the inflatable bounce houses. We also spent considerable time solving the giant maze. All and all, it was a fun day for the family. Will definitely be back.
Don't be fooled by the fanatics with the negative reviews. It's obvious by their descriptions that they've never even been here. If you do your diligent research, you'll find the most recent state inspector quoted in the Twin Cities media stating that the A Maz'n Farmyard is in fact, NOT A PUPPY MILL. I'm sure he would know better than some psychos fueled by an irresponsible Facebook campaign.
Pay attention to the reviews marked "local guide". Those are local people that have actually been there. Most of the 1 star reviews are activists in California that couldn't find Minnesota on a map.
The mini-golf was fun, but not worth supporting people who could care less about animals well being.
Do NOT purchase a puppy from here. This business is owned by a large puppy mill in Minnesota. My family bought a puppy from this breeder and we had to put her down at the age of three because she had a degenerative genetic disorder that shut down all of her organs, epilepsy, and megaesophagus(a disorder where the esophagus is enlarged and food can't be digested). All of these disorders were caused by the abuse and neglect faced in the puppy mill. Putting our dog down was the hardest thing we ever had to do. Please, do not put your family or the dog through this and do not buy any pets from here. Do not purchase dogs from puppy mills. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Wonderful place! Very clean and well run. Our family had lots of fun and we will definitely be back. Easy to spend an entire day here.
Very neat looking place, looks like fun for kids. We almost bought a Yorkshire Terrier here but was uneasy about the registration. They register the dog aca registered which is basically a puppy mill registry. They were charging 1200 for a Yorkie, and giving it a registration. But after further looking into the Yorkie breed, these dogs have floppy ears, a purebred do not have floppy ears, and these dogs hair were matted and not straight, a purebred has straight silky hair. Basically, I almost paid 1200 for a mutt dog and not purebred. Now, the dogs were extremely cute and I feel a little sadness for not taking him, but obviously the price should have been slot lower. Do your research on the breeds if your looking to buy one
